Although I did not intend to, I ended up reading this book with my journal beside me. After each chapter I opened my heart to God, asking myself the same questions. The Holy Spirit led me through some life impacting issues. This book is enjoyable, easy-to-read, and ultimately uplifting. I went through it with a small bible study group, and it is amazing to hear how this book speaks in the lives of others as well as my own.

Come on,how can anyone believe that a man who laces his book with words like "freakin" and "friggin" has a closer walk with God or any better insight than the average Christian.His formula prayer for spiritual battle is sooo long,the enemy would probably have him defeated before the prayer is even finished.Just couldn't see this book as a serious authority on the Christian walk.

I have been on a spiritual journey for a number of years, but never quite sure what I was looking for. I knew in my heart that something was missing, and now I know what it is. This book has taught me things about Jesus Christ, Spiritual Warfare, and how to hear from God and why we don't. This read has changed my life and I am eternally grateful to John Eldredge for showing the way.
